Guest Information & Policies

Welcome to The Edenwild. We are glad you are here and hope your stay on Lopez Island is restful and memorable. The following information helps set shared expectations and ensures a comfortable experience for all guests.

A Quiet, Natural Setting

The Edenwild is a small, boutique inn located in a village and island environment. While we prioritize a peaceful atmosphere, absolute silence cannot be guaranteed. Natural sounds such as wind, rain, wildlife, ferries, village activity, and other guests are part of island life and do not constitute a defect or failure of service.

Quiet hours are observed and enforced, and we appreciate your cooperation.

Older Building & Room Variations

Our inn is located in an older structure, and room layouts, access paths, views, and amenities vary by room. Photographs and descriptions are representative and intended to convey atmosphere and style rather than guarantee identical features.

Accessibility & Accommodations

We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations when requested. Guests with mobility, sensory, cognitive, or other accommodation needs are encouraged to contact us prior to booking so we can discuss suitability and availability.

Accommodation requests are handled on a case-by-case basis and are subject to feasibility and availability. Failure to request accommodations in advance may limit our ability to address concerns during a stay.

Sensitivities, Allergens & Health Considerations

The Edenwild cannot guarantee a hypoallergenic or allergen-free environment. Natural elements, cleaning products, fragrances, pollen, and wildlife may be present. Guests with allergies or sensitivities are encouraged to contact us in advance to discuss specific needs.

Outdoor & Island Conditions

By staying at The Edenwild, guests acknowledge the nature of a rural island environment, which may include uneven terrain, stairs, docks, changing weather, and limited emergency response times typical of island communities. Guests assume responsibility for their own safety and awareness.

Travel & Ferry Planning

Guests are responsible for their own travel arrangements, including ferry schedules and weather conditions. Ferry delays, cancellations, or weather disruptions are outside of our control and do not constitute grounds for refunds except as expressly stated in reservation policies.

Guest Property

Guests are responsible for their personal belongings. We recommend securing valuables at all times. The Edenwild is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to guest property except as required by law.

Guest Conduct & Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate a stay without refund for behavior that is unsafe, disruptive, or in violation of house rules, provided such action is not based on any protected characteristic under applicable law.

Parents or guardians are responsible for the supervision and conduct of minors at all times.

Emergencies & Safety

Guests are responsible for familiarizing themselves with posted safety information and for following instructions during emergencies, evacuations, or public safety events.
